JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE - Feb 10, 1968 (this poster was actually produced by Rick Griffin & Gordon McClelland in the early 70's, as a concert memorial & to give Rick a chance to use the central illo on a Hendrix poster) - First Printing California Graphic Exchange Poster - 13 15/16" x 21 1/16" - See page 277, Plate 3.68 in the ART of ROCK for a full color reproduction of this incredible Griffin graphic! - The central illustration originally appeared in ZAP COMIX #2 - Mega deep, dark blue background with intense red behind the bold, black central illustration - Shrine Auditorium info at bottom is black against the deep blue background and thus is quite difficult to discern until one is looking for it - This copy has a ding at each corner, clean staple hole at lower right corner area and at upper left corner, a few light, difficult to notice bends, including one in the image area which is primarily visible from the back side - Will look fantastic in a frame as is! - The original printer, Gordon McClelland, thought there were only 500 to 750, at most, produced in 1973/1974 at California Graphic Exchange when he worked closely with Rick Griffin on several poster projects - Ultra Rare - Pristine B+ condition - Inquire for Availability & Current Price
