JOHN LEE HOOKER

JOHN LEE HOOKER - February 27, 1970 at Reed College Commons near Portland, Oregon - First Printing Concert Poster (printed previous to the concert date, unlike the cheap bootleg reprint of this item which appears on ebay from time to time) - 10 15/16" x 17" - Black offset printing by Corberry Press in Portland, on goldenrod colored card stock (index) - Features photo of John Lee Hooker's head, w/thin moustache - Design/Artwork by the late, great Cathy Weinstein (aka Hedda Goldspace), from whom I purchased both copies of the poster and the original artwork in early 2003 - Artwork features ornate rub-off lettering and other rub off type artwork - I've only seen two copies of this original poster in the 9+ years I searched extensively for concert posters and handbills in the Portland area! - Each poster has an extremely light, difficult to see, diagonal corner bend at the lower left or lower right corner, Ultra Mega Rare - Pristine A-/B+ condition - 500.00
